Shopbot and laser

I thought that this would be a good place to start. I figured that there are people on here that have both a cnc and laser engraver. What I was wondering is that currently we have our laser in a different room from our cnc. We are looking to get them both in the same room so we can run both machines. We didn't know if the dust or anything else would not allow them to be in both rooms. Our laser is enclosed so I don't see an issue but wanted to check here first.

I have my laser and shopbot in the same room I cover the laser most of the time when I run the shopbot but there are times when both are running.

And I take it you have never had any issues?

If you keep things clean & normally clean the shop and use fine air filtration, you should be fine.

If you are honest with yourself, and know you are a slob, it probably isn't a good idea.
