I've been looking for a quality full 3d model of a sitting eagle i could use as a column (leg) to hold up the front of the bar i'm building. Everything i've found on the typical places paid and free have been crappy low poly junk.
I've checked places like turbosquid, ebay but can't find anything that looks halfway decent. If you have a link or source where i can get one please let me know. This bar i'm building has a marines theme so that is the reason for the eagles.

I know that this is not what you are looking for, but how about an eagle in flight rotated like thishttp://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=26506&stc=1

yeah i've seen models like that but what i want is some type of sitting model that could be used as a leg to the bartop. Think in terms of a gargoyle type of sitting creature. If i can't find anything i may have to resort to some type of regular column leg.

gotcha. Dont you hate it when you cant find what you want. Here is the last of the ideas. One of my favorite carvings was of the eagle and wolf. but extracting from the whole component would give you something like this. A little marine corps history. During WWI the Germans referred to the marines as "devil dogs", a title that has stuck for a century. Semper Fi Devil Dogs.

IMHO Eagle on Dog is great for your use Jack.
Maybe a built out column with flutes on side and carving on face.
Use stop flutes, and a nice base profile at the bottom and crown at the top under the bartop.

I think you want something like the Ashland university eagle that they stole from Case implement

Go to https://www.thingiverse.com/ and in the upper right hand corner type in 'eagle'. The standard file format for thingiverse is stl which aspire can import. Russ
