Please explain Pinterest to me?

I see pictures and projects and most of them when you click only lead to a picture, nothing more. I would think some things might lead to plans or a way to purchase something only i don't understand how it works. I googled and that explaination only confused me more.:confused:

You use a pinterest account to have a place to save ideas or pictures of what you like.

I have had several customers use there pinterest accounts to save pictures of kitchen designs and cabinet designs that they like, then we put together a cabinet and kitchen based off there pictures.

Some people just use it as a place to store their ideas

Usually somewhere under the picture it will say "found on xyz.com" or "pinned from xyz.com" and you click on that to take you to the originating site. Some will have plans, others are ad traps. Most are designed to suck you into the web of lies and deceit we commonly call the Internet.
