I'm pretty sure i am. A cabinet company is relocating and he has 3/4 oak cabinet grade plywood @29./sheet, hickory@32./sheet, cherry @ 34./sheet, walnut @45./sheet, mahogany @45./sheet

This is PRETTY stuff, i've seen it. He has about 50 sheets a combination of all above.

He also has a bunch of mahogany at $6.00/bf...??

Jack,

I'd look at it and if it looked good I'd probably purchase the whole lot from him.

That is a lot of plywood. Make sure you have a good dry place to store it so it stays flat and does not warp.

"mahogany" covers several different species. African/Sapele is much less expensive then Honduran and Philippine is **** (not even really mahogany).
Generally if it hasn't been stored wrong and hasn't had much light hitting the faces it should be ok.
Import ply has a cheaper core than domestic but still costs a good lick more than he is asking.
UV exposure changes the color of all of it and odds are the veneers would be too thin to sand color change off without going through to the ply.
Not generally a good idea to store any of this for a very long time (except for the solid-and even that will darken through with age and light exposure.
Since Don cranks out all kinds of cabinets it is a no brainer for him to grab it. You should buy with a plan for use in mind that won't drag on for years or you
would just be tossing your bucks away.
If the top sheets in the stacks aren't flat it would be a definite pass.

It has been stored in professional racks like at lowes, flat and out of sunlight. The guy uses this for his cabinet operation, he is just relocating and doesn't want to have to load it. I can't see any problems with it.

Profession rack like Lowes? If it's anything like the Lowes around here, those boards won't be flat :)

It's not the racks, it's the monkeys loading the racks that's the problem. I often see all kinds of material laying incorrectly or leaning up on something and you see it bowing and you know that material will be ruined simply because some lazy idiot doesn't want to set it up correctly

It's the racks they have no center support

And the racks that do have the center support, are not level.

I got it loaded into my shop. Looks pretty straight to me. Looks pretty too. I gave the cherry ply to a friend, she wants me to make some cabinets for her. I kept the hickory, some oak, and walnut and mahogany.

That Walnut certainly looks good!
Think I might dedicate some Bessey's and strongbacks to it and a cleat on the floor after you suck it together.
pretty close to Half the price of my 18 yr old stock leftover from the house:)
