Power off procedure

I have owned my Desktop for some time now but always wondered what the proper way was to turn the machine off at the end of the day. I assume that the red toggle switch on the front of the machine is not just for emergencies. Is that the switch I should be using to turn the machine off when I am done for the day or just pull the plug?

Yes that is what it is for. It is also a major PITA. The switch is so easy to hit while you are moving about that I am considering removing it and soldering the wires inside together.

I totally agree with your PITA assessment. I've accidentally bumped into the switch and turned my bot off more than once.

The same situation happened to me on a few occasions my remedy, was to place a scrap of wood in front and to the side of the switch with enough room to allow my fingers to flip the switch off problem solved.
