Attached photo. I think it is a 5.5". The original owner bought it in May 2011 but never uncrated it. I bought it in June of this year, uncrated it and set it up. I have maybe 10 hours on it. I need a bigger unit for what I make so I want to sell it and find a longer unit.

If it's 2011 then that is the 4" z. It just came out last year.
Just clarifying. Seems a fair asking price.

Looks like 4".
2 upgrade kits I have have no holes for the obsolete spindle shroud(see pic of OP's blown up) and have a Upper Z prox switch that's not visible.
Zupgrades were about $256 depending on which Z-rail you had.
Hope it clarifies a little.
Looks in VERY good shape!

Thanks Bleeth, I tried to measure and sure enough you are right it is 4 inches. I did not know there was an earlier version. My bad.

Thanks for all the help. I should have measured it ahead of time. It is 4.0 inches in the Z axis. I added the new dust collector early November when I was in a ShopBot class. I am attaching another picture to show it has not been used but 10 hours and has been kept clean. It is like new.

I again thank you guys for your help. I want whoever buys it to know exactly what they are getting.

It has Artworks, I have not upgraded to Carve 8.0.

Excellent shape and a good deal for someone Rick.
Z-upgrade can be done in an hour at Shopbot Kevin said and only took a morning once I had all the tools here.
Nice to see the starter bit set there:)
Almost offsets the Z-upgrade cost.
Should go quick!

I'm thinking it over seriously.
Do you still have the crate?
Picking it up from South Florida wouldn't work for me (although I've been wanting to visit Wilmington for some time now).

Dave,
Just a thought if this is for your traveling with a Desktop jaunting.
Perhaps swing by the Mother Ship and pick up a Maker Crate?
Maybe ask pretty please and TJ and Bill Young would give you the file for a one of to avoid the glue up:)
Pretty sure you have Vac/sheetgoods/and plenty of clamps on your full size.
Just a thought and just took first sip of Espresso---so may be crazy:)
Here's Bill and TJ making ours in January:)

We have 2 and love both the regular Shopbot Tradeshow, AND my wheelchair adapted version those two came up with out of the goodness of their hearts without prompting.
Kirk and his Dad Hatchbacked and MiniVan'd our Northern one a few times with no problems.
