I moved my shop and am re-setting up my software. I have not touched my shopbot in over a year due to auto accident, but right after the accident I fiddled with firmware. Everything seems to be working but I do not like the latest software for my shopbot, the graphics on the preview kinda uck, I personally like the old style.
I bought my bot in the very last month of the PRT alphas, before the prs alphas came out.
Few questions..
1. Whats the best firmware for the last PRT alphas (late 2006)
2. What would it cost me to upgrade to alpha board and is there anything other than the board that is different? I assumed it was an alpha until I looked at the control board. It was the very last month before the Alphas came in so I believe everything is Alpha except for the board.
3. If anyone has a link to the OG software that shows the machine as well as firmware please send me a link.
4. Since moving my cnc I have had to change the orientation of my cnc. If I look out of my office window I am looking at the very front of the cnc, so all of my keypad arrows are upside down and backwards. is there a way to simply reverse the graphics on the "keypad"
Thx you guys, always been helpful. I have literally built close to 900 cabinets on my Shopbot and it has never let me down. It has been quite a while since I have used it for cabinetry and the Cabinet parts pro guy completely left me hanging. It was not expensive software only couple hundred, but my old version was lost on a hard drive crash and the CPP pro guy told me to kick rocks rather than sending a copy of the old software or sending me the new software.
Just a heads up for all of you that want to use CPP.
I was on the main shopbot website and saw alot of cute little things that your bot can make and it did not show the potential of the cnc. Anyways hello again to all of ya. and thx in advance for replies
