I believe Trevor is looking for designs for Adirondack chairs and would like suggestions on the bits to use.

I did a google search for "free adirondack chair plans" and came up with several, even a love seat rocker style. If need help finding them email me and I will send you email links.

What software do you have to convert .dxf files to .sbp files.
There is a conversion possibility within the Shopbot software , but a little limited.
Presuming you are making the chairs from a hardwood, you will probably not be able to cut right through with a single cut.
I regularly go no more than 5mm (1/5") deepcutting in hardwood.
Bits often reflect the preferences of the user. For very clean cuts straight two flutes are good. Spiral upcuts may be a better choice, depending on how you will finish the chair.
Whatever bit you choose, either the cutting length must be equal or greater than the thickness of the timber, or the shank must be the same size as the cutting diameter.
