The Commonwealth of Kentucky has a training center for individuals with disabilities. (http://www.cdpcrc.ky.gov/) They have a small wood shop which they call the Craft Factory which is staffed by a young man who has been there for 6 months. He is interested in acquiring a CNC router such as a ShopBot for his lab, but funding is a problem. Does anybody know a good place to look for grants that would help this facility buy a ShopBot? I already did a search here and found an old thread with a link to schoolgrants.org, but is anybody aware of anything else out there? Thanks in advance.

The Carl Perkins grant sounds like a perfect solution for this person. A number of school systems have funded their purchases through this grant. I believe in some cases a few teachers have "pooled" their yearly grant allowance to purchase a machine and software.
