My local craiglist is showing a 3 foot acrylic bathroom sink with counter and backsplash for only $15... guy just wants to get rid of it (clearing out storage stuff).

I am used to turning acrylic pen/bottle blanks on my lathe and will soon be taking delivery of my Desktop MAX. I had been thinking of experimenting with making carved soap dishes from a solid surface material. Can I CNC this material? I have the tools to break it down. (I've looked up a few forum threads on
corian/lexan/acrylic/etc...). This looks like a good piece to break up and experiment with if I can work with it. Thank you.

I would say yes. It most likely is a form of corian

Those one piece molded jobs are typically an acrylic polyester mix and some have fibers in them for re-inforcement. For 15 bucks though it's worth playing with it.
You can also often get small cut-offs free from shops that make countertops

Thanks for the replies. We went ahead and picked it up. Much thinner than I thought, but yes, will be practice material.
