MDF plaques for TV series

The designer on a new, locally shot series was kind enough to send me some "after" pics of a couple of cnc cut plaques I did last week. Stagecraft doesn't provide finish painting as it would be an infringement on union jurisdiction.2927429275292762927729278

With the combination of cnc and laser we were able to get this rush job out the door in just under three hours from the time we were emailed the drawing. It would have been quicker but it was the laser cutting and engraving that slowed us down.

Yes, it's a far sight faster than sculpting and a great way to go in rush situations as these were.

Yes and I dare say I could've done a better job of it. I worked for several years for a company that specialized in high end carved, sandblasted and engraved signage and I learned a few tricks for quick and accurate painting. That said, the painter who tackled these was likely in a rush as well.
