I have a PRS standard with a 4g controller and it won't connect to the control PC. I get the gecko lights and hear the clunk but the usb is not showing up. If I unplug the cable and plug it back in I don't get the warning and no communication between them. I do get the warning when I plug the spindle USB in so I know that the PC usb is working I even tried it with another computer that I have used before. Is the supposed to be a light on in the control box on the USB board.

I did a lot of work to find out that I had a lighting strike the shop that is grounded and it took out a couple hings that had a separate ground including the shopbot controller even thoug it was unplugged. I ordered new controller and usb board replaced the small power supply and got it up and running. Now when I try to run it it can't find an active port but if I go back to 3.6.46 software I get the option to use the yellow screen to find the shopbot and it finds it. I can then run my jobs but when I shut down I have to go through that again. I have been running 3.8.42 that was really working great till now. does anyone have any ideas how to find the shopbot on that software.

I looked at the main board and saw that all the chips for the inputs and outputs were destroyed and the main ground trace was burnt.

I ordered the boards from Shopbot the Main board was $316 shipped and the usb board was $350 plus shipping. I didn't know that I need a new USB board until I received the Main board. Shopbot gave me the option to rebuild my old board but it would have cost almost as much and I needed to get up and running as I had a job waiting

Is there any good indications for me to see if I need new ones? When I plug the USB into my pc. Windows throws a notification sayin usb device is not recognized. And the shop bot program says no active ports found. I have all 3 green lights on. Tried different usb cable. Have done everything I know to do
