I think I am going to have to make my own dust shoe to allow the foot and hose to fit between the two Y rails on my old SB. I want the foot to be adjustable but fixed as opposed to being attached to the router.

Is there any advantages to having the dust foot larger or smaller?

Where can I get the rare earth magnets and the flexible brush material?

Any tips on the mounting, hose, the up down and locking mechanism etc?

Anyone know which one is like the Kent brush? I read he doubles up on the strip. Is that correct? (note I own a Kent shoe but I need to make a custom one now.)

I can give you the plans my new design. though it is mounted on my new prs Z but you can adapt it. you need to stick to 3" hose 4" just gets in the way. he uses a single brush and you can buy them from him myself I like the horsehair ones.

Thanks for the pics. Hold off on the files for now, I will have to see if there is enough room on my machine for this. Looks great. Is there any disadvantage to having it attached at the back of the Z like that?

it should fit it may need to be shortened by 1/2" Had a little extra room when I went with the new z. give me the measurement from the spindle to the bar. the 3: hose is what makes it work. it is better being attached Icahn change the height it makes w world of difference on how it works so much better.

Thank you for sharing these videos. I think am going to make a dust shoe that is independent of the router. That's the way I am used to working. Are there issues with the shoe attached to the router?
