Just received my new hardened rails for my prt. Can someone tell me if i need to drill my holes on my new rails to fit my table or did I maybe get the wrong rails. my bolts on my table are much larger than the holes in the new rails. or am I missing something being a newbe at this.. thanks for any advise.

Watching with interest as this is something I've thought about doing.

Want to do it but I have this massive wooden table with angle iron rails then the shopbot rails attached to those.

When I did mine I drilled the existing rail to match the hardened rail on the y.
For the X I changed out the existing angle for a square extrusion with a solid aluminum pillow block on top that was drilled and tapped to match hardened rail.

I've done a few of these. On the PRT with aluminum extrusion side rails the holes do not need to be drilled out. The models that have a steel "C" channel use larger bolts, so yes they need to be drilled to a larger size.
