Here is the first actual project I have completed on the indexer that I just bought. Actually it is 1/4th of the project.

A couple of you asked so here is the run down on the indexer.

I made two modifications to the indexer itself. One was to put a higher torque motor on it and the other was to drill out the mounting holes for the motor and turn them into slots so that I could get the drive belt tighter and eliminate the slop.

a run down on the costs
$269 Indexer
129 Gecko drive
39 New drive motor
70 Cables and Wago connector from Shopbot
30 Two pieces of aluminum for mounting.
537 Total cost of indexer

In addition I raised the Z axis of my machine by 3 inches. this cost about $260 and is something I should have done a long time ago.

All in all I am pretty satisfied with the project. http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=30604&stc=1

It may be cheap, however the end product looks great.
