Made this case to showcase my kitchen utensils.

It folds up to a size that fits in my display trailer shelf. Made out of hemlock its reasonable light and strong, the legs are red oak.

That's awesome! What did you design it in?

Eric,

Your suggestion for feeds and speeds are about right.
I'm thinking the problem is the bit. Onsrud is my choice. I use VCarve Pro. Perhaps he should visit Vetric, Vcarve Pro and post over there.

My head one of those idea on the fly jobs, just made from scrap laying around I did draw up the hangers in cad and cut them on the bot

Wrong thread Joe.

I should have been more specific, what CAD program did you design it in?

The only part designed was the hangers I used solid works for that, the rest was just cut and fit.

By cut and fit do you mean you cut it on your shopbot or by hand?

Yes, cut on the traditional tools in the shop mostly table saw.

Gotchya. That's what I figured. Are you using CAM in solidworks or are you exporting to Vectric and then making tool paths (obviously for the ShopBot made parts)

I export dxf and import into my cam, I have Rams I dont think they are even in business anymore. I got my bot when they came with partwizard a very limited cam program.

That's sweet. Flip the legs, insert the 3 bolts, done! Someone is going to want to buy that then you'll have to make another one because then your spoons will be homeless again.
What is the average price of the spoons?

The price starts at 22 for small and goes up from there.

Looks good Brian...ain't going to find those in Walmart:)
Nice accent to your other work, and always nice to have something lower price people can walk away with so they remember you next year.
GLAD they're selling well to get you up out of your chair...AND to compensate for being in this insanely hot, sticky NE weather!!
(CUTE little guy under the stand! :) )
