I was cutting a triangle out of 1/4" UHMW, at the corner of the long leg and the hypotenous, the up cut bit caused the material to lift and it caught in the dust boot. As the machine moved forward it bent the dust boot up and lifted the X-car off of the rails. Catastrophic indeed. It gouged the table 3/8". I have since got it back on the rails, plumbed the spindle and replaced the bit (did not appear damaged, decided to keep the collet). When I stopped the machine I hit the space bar then quit the program.

Problem: Input 4 is flashing and input 3 has a vertical line in it.
I have restarted the computer and the Shopbot at least 5 times.
I have cycled the E stop. I have checked the connections to the computer.

Also, check to see if proximity sensors were damaged when the gantry came off the track…

Dear kworks

After you have successfully sorted the issue with input switches. My advice would be to change the collet and collet nut. You can't see if they are damaged but keeping them could result in no-end of quality issues and problems.

Sincerely and in good faith
