Orientation and datum for Aspire layout ?

Which way should I layout my drawing in Aspire?

I have laid it out a few different ways (all of which crash the machine into a mechanical limit).
(ALSO, no preview of my drawing shows up.)

The way I have it laid out makes the most sense to me, bc the limit switches (and machine 0,0) are in the "Front, right" of my machine. (Yes I see the numbers getting negative in the machine's positive direction- so this cannot be correct)


Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Although lower left is the traditional 0,0 you can have it anywhere you want! BUT… you’ll need to tell Aspire. Under the job setup tab is a “XY Datum position” box… check the location that is you.
