Corian

I’ve acquired some 1/2 inch corian which I want to reduce to 1/4 inch. What is the best method of thinning the material. I have in my toolbox a CNC, a belt sander, and router.

Set the CNC to a depth of about .23 inches, maybe in two passes with a 3/8ths bit ... take down the rest with a belt sander with the desired grit.

So are you doing a large sheet of Corian ? What is the project ?

It is a great material.

Made an inquiry to an individual if he was aware of anyone who would have 1/4 inch corian. He stated his inventory presently had a 2' x 8' sheet and he and was looking to give it a new home. Not even hesitating I would assist him in reducing his inventory. At present, no project is on the drawing board however I'm always on the look out for additional material.
