Carved 2 days ago with a .25mm TBN with one coat Linwax in one pass.

NICE to be Desktopping again! :)

Looks very clean, I like all of the detail, crisp and clean.
How thick is that model?? Not the material but just the model.

Nice work Scott

Mornin' Don,
Thanks! :)
Model was a 3DWav model

Model had a frame, but I made my carved section .46" model height.
I went with that height as I was cutting with a
.125" shank, .25mm Tapered Ball Nose with a CEL of .5"
6% stepover, at 2 IPS X,Y and 1.5 IPS Plunge.
(Mistake as I wanted 2IPS in all axis which cuts well)

Yep...detail is my addiction:)
BUT If it ain't in the model, you can't cut it :)

Glad you got Bud's Z axis retrofiit.
Makes a world of difference!

After you get it installed(including the Z limit), make sure you rerun a UR and check the box "Have Z-Limit switch" as it changes touchplate Z-Zero in a good way.

I'm gonna have to try that level of detail.
Will need to find the tooling first.

.25mm TBN with one coat Linwax in one pass.
I see you mentioned once pass. no roughing passes?
Also did you use your touch off plate or just a visual to the table/material?

Thanks, I have read through al the documents and threads, but may wait as also need to purchase the Z bearing blocks and replace them at the same time.
I'm also attempting to finish a vacuum setup on the aluminum deck.
It's also missing the narrow aluminum decking at the Y 18". It does have 3pcs of 6" wide decking.

Hey Don,
Yep, no roughing pass in Mahogany at .46" depth... BUT I started just off the material, so it was only cutting the stepover.
I've used Jerra and Spetool in both the .125 and .25" shanks.
Side angle for the .125" shank bits is steeper than the .25" shanks, but is limited by .5" CEL...whereas the .25" shanks have 1"++ CEL.

here's the .25-1mm .125" shank bits varied pac I used first.https://www.amazon.com/SpeTool-Assorted-R0-25-1-0-Tapered-Engraving/dp/B085RG6WLD?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A3C1LPUJ1KE781

Good luck...NICE tight little machine!
I have a 2013, and used a 2014 for a year(both welded frames).
