Porter Cable 3-1/4 router

purchased from a gentleman here a year or so back. He had bought it and it sat on a shelf before I bought it. Then I sat it on a shelf until now.

I purchased and installed a spindle recently, so no longer need it.

I also have my old 3-1/4 with many many hours on it, an assortment of collets, spare brushes and two mounting brackets for the PC router to Shopbot gantry.

I bought mine from an individual as a take off from another unit, and I run a different controller these days so I don't think I can really help with the Shopbot setup.

For that matter, you keep blindly asking people questions without explaining what you have, and what you want to do with it.

There are no easy or direct answers for such open ended questions.

No worries.

Explain what you have and what you want to do with it, and I'm sure someone will have suggestions.

If you have a shopbot and you wish to change out the controller a number of folks have done so, it's a challenging DIY project but it can be done.

I built a new control box for mine a while back and recently added a spindle. I didn't really need to change the controller, I just wanted to.

When we moved into our house two years ago, I did need to change out the Porter Cable Router for a spindle though. It's nice and quiet when it's not cutting.
