Today I cut a file, profile V-carving the detail in a 2D Santa, I guess like yard art, but this is for a shop window display.
It was short and fat, I wanted it taller (and bigger overall)
I scaled up my 'x' by 1.3, m 'y' by a factor of 2, left Z untouched
Most of it worked fine, but a couple of lines extended themselves beyond there position (relative to other lines) that they were in in the original cut.
Anyone else experienced problems scaling up?

Also remember having some scaling issues with the SB software, and then reverted to scaling in a CAD program.

Hi Mike,

did you or are you using the transform option in parts wizard?

I use it to scale parts up and down all the time as a way of converting Metric to imperial etc.

In AutoCad you can "insert" a block with different scales for x,y,z.

Hey Mike,

I haven't heard of any problems with scaling....though you're still using the DOS software aren't you? If you could email the file to me along with any details like the software version that you're using I'll see if I can sort out what's going wrong.
