I should have said I have a prt96. I'm gessing the UV is not right. anyone know which way the UV should change to get more steps. I'm gessing again but I think I need to get twice the steps I now geting

Try using 400 for the unit value then zero the y axis, make a mark on the faceplate or chuck, and make a y move to 3.6. If the indexer makes a full revolution, the unit value is correct.

thanks!! I was thinking that 400 was right as that is the UV for the indexer in normal round cuting.

Thanks!! It worked like a charm. The figures in the manual must be for a file the is larger then the circumference of the stock.
This fourm is the best help a person could have.
