Question about possible VA file conversion

Folks -

Well, one of the students may have ran off with the Vector Art .DXF file CD. I have the same information on another cd, saved in .ai and .eps formats - can these be converted to .dxf files, or am I going to have to get another .dxf formatted files on a replacement disc? Any help would be appreciated and I hope that this is the correct location for posting. Thanks!

You should be able to use either files. Open them in a cad program, CorelDraw, or Illustrator and export them as .dxf's. Beware though that you could get some messy exports (breaks, stray entities) depending on the program doing the exporting.
