This morning I noticed an unusual noise while cutting some parts. I think it is the "X" motor on the back side of the bot notworking. How can I test this? Is it possibly the driver? This is the first major plroblem I've had since I got my bot and naturally it's on a Saturday. Thanks, Kip

Kip, drop motors away from the racks, and then start swopping cables (with power off!) to see if the problem moves to another motor. Swop the cables at the controller end first, you might also swop motors. This way you can isolate whether you have a faulty controller/driver, cable or motor. Remember, don't disconnect with the power on.

Thanks, it must be a loose wire somewhere in the control box. I opened it up and just moved some wires around, closed it and turned everything back on and it works fine. Hopefully I can spend more time on it tommorrow. Kip

Kip...

Resolve your loose wire problem ASAP - my experience indicates that an intermittant connection may lead to driver failure.
