I have been having a problem recently with the input #4 limit switch.

The light is green, and there is a small red line around the outside of it. It doesnt ever seem to be shutting off for some reason.

I have tried turning the setting from "always closed" to "always open" under the vn menu.

When i did that, the input 4 switch started flashing bright red.

I have switched it back to "always closed" under vn, and it returns to the original problem.

Im not positive but i think i read in a previous post that the #4 limit switch is connected to the vacuum hose? is that correct? Could i possibly have a grounding problem on my vacuum hose?

Input #4 is for the Estop not a limit switch. If the E stop is connected correctly, you will see a green light with red around the green. It sounds like everything is working as it should. Give Shopbot support a call.

ok, well i know the estop is not stuck down or anything, but perhaps there is a short or something.

looks like my best bet would be to call up shopbot.
