PR Upgraded to PRT -- No Communication with controller

Another newbee user with a used Bot. I have been watching the forum for the last 12 to 18 months and I am very impressed with the input from the users. I finally stepped up to a used machine to get my feet wet.

Just purchased a used upgraded PR to a PRT. The computer will not connect to the control box. The box has power, LED on board is on. I have tried changing serial ports and installing firmware. No change. It says is setup correctly. As mentioned in another post, I have tried all of the options when the yellow box pops up. No change.

I am running Windows 98 SE2, PW2 and SB3

Check the serial cord between the controller box and the computer. Past post has indicated that some cords "aren't no good".

Thanks for the response. I checked the serial cable and it was ok. I found the problem to be the COM port was set up for another device. I corrected that setting and loaded the firmware and it started up.
