I have a question
What can I do to stop this!
If I am in the middle of a cut and want to change the feed rate I have to hit the S key shut down the machine and go back to the last line number, reset the toggle on the output and start at that point.
The spindle stops.
Can this be bypassed?
We have two machines and the old one running old software don't require me to do this.
I hope I am not as dumb as a box of rocks asking this!
Thanks Leonard

If you are talking about the speed at which the carriage runs and wanting to increase that on the fly, all you have to do is hold the shift key down and hit the "greater than" key ( > ) same thing to slow it down ( < )

If you refer to SB3 (3.4.* or 3.5.*) when you 'S'top the tool, you should hit 'I'nsert then MS to change the feed (Move) speed then 'R'esume.

From SB3 3.4.*, you shouldn't have to completely stop the process.

Does that help?

Which ShopBot controller software version are you using?

Jack is right for 'On the fly' feed change, but if you change for anything more than 0.5"/sec. at a time, I recommend to pause ('S'top) the process to 'I'nsert a new move speed.
