I'm having problems with small gaps between arcs from imported dxf cad files. I've read other posts and have tried draw>connect and trim>extend but it doesn't work. The entire file is arcs (trout outline). Of course, I can't see the gaps until I connect at Z. And why won't they get big enough to see when I zoom in on them? Any ideas?

Hey here's a tip- try doing it the way it says in the manual. I just went back and reread and retried everything and finally made it work with "trim entities into a chain".

Feeling stupid but learning-

Make sure that you use the set mode closed chains if you want the chains trimed into a closed shape (i.e. the trout). The 6th icon from the right. It will change to yellow. That will trim it around. If you use the diamond icon (3rd from right) or the Change-Trim, Fillet, Chamfer menue item check the closed contour box.

Four lines in a rectangle shape that are not connected will only trim 3 without the close mode chains.
