This is just a rambling thought. But this weekend while I was working in the shop. I thought it sure would be nice to have a keypad or something to the effect at the shopbot, so that I could enter commands.. like the z-zero, jog home or J2 so that I could clear the gantry from my work.

Used this (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD%2CGGLD:2005-07%2CGGLD:en&q=dual%2Bkeyboards), found this (http://www.inclusive.co.uk/catalogue/acatalog/y_key_key_connector.html).

I have two keyboards on the control computer right now; one connected in a USB port and the other connected in the PS2 keyboard port with an extension (this one is for the machine/dusty side of the shop)... work like a charm... plug and play!

10.00$CA (used keyboard) + about 8.00$CA (extension)

My Wallmart remote keyboard has worked well for me for 8 months now. It's cheap, but limited to about 3 feet range out of the box. With my $1 range extender the setup looks pretty ugly but range is in excess of 30 feet. See the following:

I think using a ShopBot is fun enought. There should be a ShopBot keypad for the Zboard.
