Dave, I use Smartlister and have found it to be a huge help. It allows you to build your project in Acad 3d solids, stretch them or shrink them, add machining such as line boring,hinge holes, or blind dados and then export cut list to excel. The cutlist is easily customizable and there are also exports to various cam packages and CNC machines.

The best thing about it is it allows you to build pretty much any weird thing on the screen and then extract the necessary cutting info right off the drawing. You aren't limited to specific parametric
processes.

I was using it for custom stuff and eCabinets for the straight boxes but now I've switched to Smartlister exclusively. Highly recommended. It does require some skill in Acad 3D but there are tutorial videos on the site to get you going. Hope this helps.
