Limited DOS Memory

I'm using a PR 120 machine, and I am getting a "Limited DOS Memory" message when I launch the DOS Shopbot V2.3 . I also get some stuttering and even get a COM port disconnect intermittently.

In Windows 2000, how can I change the memory available to DOS programs?

Is this the cause of the stuttering and disconnect?
