just wondering. i can save files in gcode or dxf. i notice that some of my dxf files dont seem to run the right size that i programmed and some lines seem offset from where they should be. does shopbot run gcode file more accurately??? can dxf files be translated incorrectly?? thanks

What are you useing to creat your drawoings? Auto_Cad? I have used Auto-Cad 2000 to do the drawings with router-cim 8.0 doing the conversion to g-code. I save the files in dfx but run my machine with g code. a dfx file is a different breed of cat from a g code file.

i am using a generic cad program dont know the name but it saves it in dxf. bottom line would the g code translate more accurately than converting dxf.
