Does anyone know if the latest version of V Carve Pro supports a second Z? If so, how is it called?

Any CAM program will handle 2 Z axes. It is a matter of writing & choosing the correct post processor. The best bet would be to contact SB or Vectric directly and see if one is available.

Hi Tom,

There is a VCarve Pro postprocessor that supports a second Z axis and I have emailed this to you with a note on how to add it to the standard install.

I hope this helps,

Tony

Is there a standard specification for post processors?

Hi Pat,

There isn't a written document, but the postp called "TextOutput_Arc_mm.pp" contains pretty much all the commands available. If you look at this in conjunction with one of the ShopBot posts (ShopBot posts have a NEW_SEGMENT section),I think things should be fairly easy to follow. If people arent comfortable with modifying the posts based on this information they can drop us an email via support@vectric.com (mailto:support@vectric.com) for more assistance.
