Tyro is the code name for ShopBot Developments latest project. We've been toying around with the idea of creating a tool with a smaller footprint than a Buddy after recieving a lot of customer requests for a machine that will fit on a table top and be good for routing small parts and signs, engraving and various other types of operations that are well suited for this small form factor.
For this project we're going to try a different approach, we're asking you the users for your ideas on what the ideal small tool would be for you. Using this input we'll put together a machine with the features and form that are really needed. To do this we'd like you to answer the initial list of questions that we've developed. On this webpage there is a simple survey that will help get us started.

We ask that you don't respond directly to this posting and rather use the online survey to send your comments and ideas. We will keep you posted on the webpage for this project on the progress and hopefully post some cool pictures of the development process and prototype work as we go.
