Has anyone machined graphite? Do I need to protect the spindle from graphite dust? My plan is to build a containment box. The bottom of the box would be over size and the dust collector would be hooked up to it static. The top would be a lot larger with the outer edges turned down and a hole slightly oversize for the router bit. The idea is to create a labyrinth to prevent the dust from traveling to far. I have a PRS Alpha with a 4hp HSD spindle. My main concern is the graphite dust getting sucked into the spindle and frying the electronics.
