We badly need to replace our bleeder board and wonder if there are any recommendations about where to purchase either low or medium density fiberboard. We are hoping to get something as appropriately thin as possible. Thanks.

Tom,
I have had luck with Russell Plywood. They found the Trupan Ultra light MDF (LDF) for me here in NJ. I know they have depots in DE.,PA, and NJ, not sure about Maryland...

Tom -
To add to Bill's suggestion, if you're in the MD area, look up North Bay Distributors. I believe that they ship within 100 miles of Baltimore.

try this link or copy and paste - they carry MDF and medex, from 1/4 on up.

Bill - see you next week!

They've never charged us for delivery, no minimum order as far as I know.

Best of luck.

Thanks guys for the good information. Russell plywood is 10 minutes from my shop. North Bay Distributors has a very good selection according to their website so one of them will surely work.

T,

Hard to believe but 3/4" trupan is almost a porous as 1/2".

Great material for carving also.
