Just curious as to why the Chain Drive discussion only contains negative remarks but was closed before anyone could reply with the positive remarks? It was obvious that the individuals who remarked on the Chain Drive implemented their own versions and should not be confused with what J.E.T Enterprises was doing with their Shopbot.

Also, I am wondering if the picture of the rose was made in Vector CAD/CAM or if it was done in ArtCAM pro? If I remember correctly, it was done with ArtCAM pro. Can we see how it was done? It would be great support for those of us who do use ArtCAM Pro.

Hello all!

It has been a long time since visiting the forum. I just wanted to stop by and see how everyone was doing and report the status of our Shopbot machine!

It is still running strong and performs even better after an upgrade of the stepper motors (thank you Shopbot folks for providing those) and a table redesign.

Our 'bot still runs a chain drive and has been reliable through the years with that modification.

I still get some questions regarding the chain drive design in the Email and someday I will post pictures on the web of the new design for the table we created, with major assistance from my genius Grandfather, who passed away this year.

May God rest your soul Grandpa, and thank you for everything you did for us, you were an inspiration.
