Fellow 'botters
I am looking for dxf or other files for cutting 3D reliefs of the continents. I have a huge opportunity with this job. Does anyone have any clues or leeds for files of this type?
Any info would be greatly appreciated

If continental reliefs (presumably in examples) came with your version Gene I can tell you they are not in 6 or 7. Or I can't find them elsewhere.
Matt-Does the leads from other botters in the other thread help you?

You might try versamap (www.versamap.com (http://www.versamap.com)).
It will export as dxf and has continent level data included. I like global mapper better for 3d topo maps, but versamap may be better for what you want.

Matt,

The tutorial of VS3D has a world map and instructions. http://www.designscomputed.com/vs3d/index.html - free download and 30 day trial. You might be able to use it and get what you need.

Thanks to all for the info. That's why I love shopbot, the forum is invaluable as a resource. I was able on my own to find files that would work, but the converting to usable dxf is going to be the challenge, not to mention actually cutting the files and producing molds for copies.
Thanks again,
See you at the Jamboree.

ps. the forum wont let me in as registered.
