Hey Botters!
Here are some pictures of a bowl turning jig that I just made for the 'bot. Yes I could make bowls without the jig, but I wanted to play with my gearmotor.
I had an unused Dayton 6Z082 gear motor (33 RPM, reversable) and an extra lathe faceplate in the shop calling my name.
I made an MDF box for the motor and attached it to the Shopbot with the faceplate parallel to the table. I plan to program some different bowl shapes, but I couldn't wait and played around with it using my Rumblepad wireless controller.
Here are the results using a straight bit. I can't wait to play some more.
