Glueing Smaltz

What readily available adhesive and technique could be used to glue down glass smaltz and keep it there? Thanks John

Here you can get smalt & Smith's Cream.

Perhaps Raymond Chapman or Joe Crumley could better advise procedure for glueing but from what I remember, you would mix part lettering or background enamel with the Smith's cream, paint it on where you want your smaltz, then shake on the smaltz and let it sit overnight. Then turn sign over and shake off excess smaltz. I don't remember the portion of Smith's Cream to add to the sign paint.

You don't want the paint thickness to be so thick that the smaltz gets totally immersed - you want it to only get partially embedded.
