Polishing komatex

I have a some Komatex with a few light mars. I have tried car polish with not so good results. I have tried heat too. Is there a way to polish the surface without breaking into the foam interior.

For that matter, is there a way to seal the edges making it look like the flat sides?

To smooth the edges you will need to fill them with something sandable. Try FSC-88 WB from Coastal Enterprises (www.precisionboard.com (http://www.precisionboard.com)). Of course then you will need to paint them.
