I'm updating my website and found one of our old routed signs. The process was to project the image on masonite, then cut out with a sabre saw. A 1/4" template guide in the router was used. We also extended the router platform to about a foot square.
There are two of these, from rough cedar, and it took considerable time and energy. But I was having fun making an all new kind of sign.
This was a 14' sign. I cut the planks vertical and left the bolts showing.
