What would be the best choice of glue to bond two pieces of extira together?

Gorilla or other polyurethane based glue...NOT polyurethane construction adhesive.

Shawn,

We use Extira on a regular basis and Brady's suggestion is a good one.

Keep in mind this product is very flakey. You can shove a chisel or knife in it's edge and rip off a whole section. My best results come from a thin diluted coat of epoxy as a primer coat. When dry I use strait epoxy to weld it all togehter. To make a really good weld you'll need as much penetration as possable. This will harden off the soft deliclate quality of Extira.

You'll need to do your own test. Don't take any adivce from us old koots.

I'm not suggesting Extira is a good product for general use. It has considerable limitations. But were using it more and more. In many cases it has replaced HDU.

Here are a couple of examples where we've put it to use.

I've tried it for a spoil board however it gets so fuzzy and soft we went back to MDF.
