Hi Joe,
I posted this question on another forum, but maybe you didn't see it. I know you seal Trupan using a thinned epoxy, but have you ever tried this with MDF? I don't have a source for Trupan, and am looking for an alternative. Thank you, Tim

Howdy Tim,

I'm sure it would work just fine. What your looking for is absorbtion. Although I haven't done it, if I were to here's what I'd do.

Sand the surface to open up the poures, allowing the solution to soak in. Dilute the epoxy enough for penetration. Use a couple of good soaking coats. Last, if your going to use screws or bolts, pre drill the holes big enough to allow for easy installation and soak the holes. Your failure will most likely be at the bolt hole area.

Please let me know how you do. Happy routing.
