How can I use .jpg files of woodgrain textures in ArtCAM pro to acheive the look of wood grain?

You would the straight line vector tool to outline the grain features on a jpeg, then highlight that vector then right click and select the shape editor.
Then you can add or subtract the depth you want ,after that you use the sculpting tools to smoothe and blend the areas. There a bark relief included in the artcam files that looks pretty good and you can scale the depth to make it deeper and rougher looking.

In the older version I own, you would choose the vector outlining the area you want to texture, go to relief tools under the assistant tab, and choose texture relief, choose 'from file' and select your .jpg, make any necessary settings such as z depth, and choose add.

Use the woodgrain texture thats included in ArtCam, or load Bmp/JPG image, create relief from image smooth as needed and toolpath.
The version we currently use is ArtCAM Pro 9. I forgot to mention that.
