SB3.6.12 possible bug?

I have been using the CR command to level some guitar plates. As always, I hit Alt 1 on the keyboard first to turn on output 1.
Sometimes when I start the cut, the dialog box for turning on the spindle does not appear and the carriage moves to begin cutting without the spindle turning.
Wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same glitch?

Hey Mark,

When I do keyboard, I still need to hit the start button on my Alpha the first time and then
after that, just toggle output 1.

I use the keyboard to warm my spindle before making the first cut...

I do the same routine and also need to hit the start button.
Problem is the dialogue box to start the spindle isn't appearing as usual when I try to cut the same file on a new piece of material.
If I exit the SB software and re-open it the problem goes away.
Weird, I've not had this happen before installing the latest version.
I have emailed tech support.
