Hey Guys, hope everyone is well and the wolf is away from the door. Can someone tell me how to change the speed for manual moves? I use the "shopbot keypad" to move around the table with the dust collector to clean up shavings for the next sheet and I can't find where to speed it up. It currently is set at 4 and I would like to speed it up abit. I could write a quickie program to go around the table and setup the speed that way but thought I would ask. It would be great if someday shopbot had a pendant that had a variable speed pot on it to adjust on the fly, like some of the big boys do. Oh well I guess they paid all that extra $$ for that. Thanks in Advance.

The Move speed command will do it. (MS 6,2 for example)
You can hold the Control key down along with the arrows to move at your jog speed. You can adjust the jog speed with JS 12,4 for example

or with the mouse highlight the number and type in the new one.

if you want to vacuum the table I would write a toolpath for it. I make a 97x49 box make a 6" bit running at 12ips and raster or or offset pocket. I make a custom number file to run it a c# you only need to adjust the height then it the c# and off you go. I also edit the file and replace m3 with j3 to get the speed upto 25 ips

The old DOS version of Shopbot control let you move with the keypad on a diagonal by holding down 2 arrow keys. I sure miss that feature and often wonder why they removed it.

I've wondered that myself, but using the diagonal modifier keys "/" and "\" with "alt" as modifier of back/forward direction does work.
Not very elegant, but works.

You can also move your cursor between the X and Y arrow buttons and click with your mouse and it will move diagonal.

Steve, how do you create a custom number file.
Thanks Dave

there should be instructions on the shopbot page but I could not find them. but look in C:\sbparts\custom these are the c# files when you type c and a number. back them up then op them up and check them out. fine a free one like c7 and you just need to put a line in there to run your toolpath.
