I need to make a dust foot and I am wondering what the fastest, easiest foot is to make?

Thanks,

I need the same thing for my alpha. Slammed mine into the side wall. No salvaging.

That looks like a hard one to build.

Anything easier?

Hi Gary,
I like the dust foot you made, but I realy like is the arm and release better. Sould you tell and show me a little more of it. I getting tired of cutting my thumb on that thumb screw I have on my bot.

thank you

Frank...
I put a parts list and prices together some months back to enable others to build a copy of my dust foot, and "trolled" the forum to see how many Botters would want them. There didnt seem to be much interest at the time. Had there been interest I was going to make an adapter to the OEM dust foot bracket.

If I remember correctly, there was about $80 in parts and around an hour of aluminum machining time to make these kits. You would also have to drill, tap and countersink the top of the Z extrusion to allow mouning of the clamp cylinder.

Some time has past, and my enthusiasm, notes and parts list for this project have gone away. It still works very well, and as soon as I have more inputs/outputs available on my board, it will be fully automatic.

I still have around 20 of these small air cylinders for sale if someone wants them. (email in profile)
