I am considering to buy Etemplate Photo system to take patterns/ templates and store in my PC. I don't have cnc yet, that would be next step. Anyone out there using this system and willing to share experience? Accuracy??
Thanks
JT

We have one of these:

http://www.lasersquare.com/lt55.asp

It works well. The only modification we made was to put a longer serial cable on it so the poor templater could work the PDA software in their hand without having to hunch over the tripod that holds the laser. (seems they only tested it on twenty-somethings with excellent eyesight)

It produces a DXF/DWG file that's quite accurate.

Most of our templates still come into the shop as Corroplast or glued-up luan strips, though.

Pretty cool stuff JT , I went to their website las tnight and checked it out. I dont do many tops but curious does it take less time than glued/stapled luan?
